Accreditation of Suppliers of Basic Fumigation and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Equipment under Voucher Scheme
The Department of Agriculture (DOA) has received a grant fund under the Montreal Protocol to implement a project called Thailand National Methyl Bromide Phase-out Plan (NMBPP) through the World Bank. The Project Management Unit (PMU) was established to implement and monitor activities under the NMBPP.
One of the activities under NMBPP is to strengthen capacity of owner of storage facilities to adopt alternatives to methyl bromide through (i) training on use of alternatives and (ii) provision of financial subsidy for acquisition of integrated pest management equipment and basic fumigation equipment through voucher scheme. Approximately 150 sets of IPM equipment and 75 sets of basic fumigation equipment will be acquired to the enterprises across Thailand. The enterprise will select and purchase IPM and basic fumigation equipment from equipment supplier accredited by DOA.
PMU now would like to invite potential equipment suppliers to indicate their interest to be accredited under the voucher scheme. More detail on type of equipment being sought under IPM and basic fumigation equipment can be found from sub-project proposal available in http://www.thailandmb.com/. Interesting equipment suppliers must submit their interest through written notification and supporting document to demonstrate company profile e.g. brochure, experience to the PMU by hand / mail / e-mail not later than at 16.00 of April 12, 2011 at the address below. Further information can be obtained from the same address.
